Right hand heart

About a girl whose heart is “beat beating beating on the right side of oblivion, beat beating beating on the wrong side of her body”. “Right hand heart”, Momus.

From the LP "Tender pervert" (1988). Recommended by Tegan. A guy friend of hers (who is pretty cute btw) heard this song & couldn’t stand his voice. I think it’s pretty neutral. I had originally learnt of Momus through Kahimi Karie. He wrote a lot of her songs, or they wrote them together. But for whatever reason there are versions of the same songs by both of them: Vogue Bambini, I am a kitten, Elastic girl, Good morning world, etc. Gotta admit I favor the KK versions bc of her kawaii-girly-whispery voice, it makes all the difference. Will post about her in the future, she has a gazillion releases. Well, Momus too, but I’ve heard a lot less of his stuff.

I know nothing about him. Had never even seen a photo until 5’ ago. But if he’s writing these things, he’s amazing. Both the lyrics & music are totally my style, ~sensitive~, yknow. That’s one of my styles, anyways. I’ve only heard the KK songs plus the LP “20 vodka jellies” (1996, cute name!) & now “Tender Pervert”. I once read one of his LPs described as “an album about sex for children”, this could be the one, no?
