Although I am not passionate about their stuff after "Morning view", I still consider Incubus 2 be one of my favorite bands & they will always have a place in my heart. In high school, I had four super ultra mega favs: Silverchair, Incubus, Foo Fighters & Skulker. I carried a Jansport backpack w/ the logo carefully removed & in its place, a patch w/ a lotus plant & Incubus logo. Nowadays when a backpack is required, I still use that one : P I have many favorite Incubus songs. But...maybe Azwethinkweiz became a little more special 2 me than the rest. Maybe bc it's all about mind trips. Being a Gemini (the most rational sign of the zodiac) & also over analytical in general, I'm prone 2 those.

I had Pool write the song title (an alteration of "As we think we is") on my wall back in 2003 in thick black marker which by now has faded to light purple. It's been lingering in my head all week, so I figure I could do w/ revising the lyrics, which have blown my mind more than once b4 -the 1st time being when I was 16 or so-. Crucial time in my life.

BTW they are playing a gig here the day right after The Pixies. Shall I go? I've seen them twice already, during the height of my fandom, & it was incredible...I kind of don't wanna ruin that, yknow...since I am not as into their newer things. Maybe I haven't given it a fair enough chance? I dunno. There are so many amazing gigs coming up. If I knew Incubus would play mostly old stuff I'd totally go...alas...

PS: Of course I was also fascinated by Brandon Boyd & his spirituality. Needless to say, he was also quite a looker.

PS2: This could also be a little like The Velvet Underground's "What do you think I'd see if I could walk away from me?"... no?
