Blood & chocolate

Me = chocolate w/ a heart of red fruits (strawberry, raspberry, cranberry).

Just like the new Ser dessert. I love red fruits. That's what we call them in Spanish: Frutos rojos. Then there's Frutos del bosque (fruits of the forest) which also includes blackberries, blueberries, cassis & I dunno what else.

The Strange Fruit post already talked about berries. On the other hand, I really like chocolate. Most ppl do though, right? I've only met a couple who don't. What III don't like very much is dark chocolate. Nowadays it's kinda "in"/ chic/ fashionable 2 eat chocolate of a super high cacao %, isn't it? Melina Dorfman (was it her?) & I once agreed upon the fact that above a certain % (was it 80?), it simply tastes like DIRT : P Gimme milk chocolate, chocolate filled w/ yogurt, crunchy bits, carmel, mint, nougat, white chocolate. SCREW BITTER CHOCOLATE.

The Fiery Furnaces have a song where they mention "confectioners' sugar so sweet it was caustic & chocolate so bitter it could kill typhus", I think I've commented on it b4 in this blog. & how I thought they said the chocolate could kill TYPISTS, not typhus. Poor typists.

Anyways. Blood & chocolate is an Elvis Costello album. These past couple of weeks have been kind of like that, @ times. Some Demon Days & ~darkness~. But this LP was recommended by Romo a few years ago. My cousin Sebastián Escofet was always saying how gr8 Elvis Costello was (Peter Gabriel also), but 4 some reason I always found him annoying. Tegan & I saw his set during a festival once & were like "YAWN, BORING". Ah, I had totally 4gotten about his song "She". It made me BURN WITH HATRED & RAGE when I was 15-16. That's probably most of the reason why I disliked the guy. Why so much h8 towards the song? No clue.

But I really like some stuff by Elvis Costello now, perhaps my #1 track is off the aforementioned album. "Seven day weekend (w/ Jimmy Cliff)". Although "Tokyo storm warning" is nice too, & it goes ♪ She's Miss Buenos Aires in a world of lacy lingerie ♪ ... THAT'S HOT!!!

"Stillness in time" is one of my fav songs by Jamiroquai, one of my top artists (though as you've probably noticed, there are quite a few). He deserves a post of his own but I'll say that this track, these lyrics give me that ~special feeling~ like OMFG. Among the lines that stuck in my head, there was ♪ Does your heart bleed like mine? ♪

When Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory came 2 cinemas, I went 2 see it with Ezequiel & shortly after posted the Jamiroquai lyric to my fotolog w/ this picture taken by Luciana in her bedroom.
